A concert shell is a mechanical solution that allows the adaptation of a theater stage to enable the hosting of symphonic concerts under the best possible acoustic conditions.

In recent decades, cultural spaces have emerged with the need to accommodate a wide variety of shows and events. This is especially true for theaters, which must also include music concerts in their programs, requiring some kind of elements and structures to allow this versatility. The most traditional solution for this has been the use of portable structures that, when placed in the main stage area, reflect sound towards the audience without the negative effect of the volume in the upper part of the stage. These "acoustic shells" must combine special acoustic and aesthetic characteristics with other critical functional conditions to ensure the best solution for each project. Transportability, the time and human resources required for assembly/disassembly, ease and volume of storage, among others, are crucial aspects of the adopted solution.
